Incorporated into Esk’s business portfolio in 2005, the Design Studio continues to create a huge range of intricate stained glass patterns for Esk’s glazing products. Whether to brighten up your home, place of work or as a gift for someone special, Emma will be able to come up with a stained glass design to suit your specifications. Customers have a choice of leads, glass and over 200 colours and textures to make their bespoke commissions unique.

Emma McDermott is the stained glass artist who runs the Design Studio. After graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee specialising in jewellery and metalwork design and previous experience working with glass, she started her career as a stained glass artist at Esk Glazing.

The Design Studio is a sub-division of Esk Glazing, offering a safe and secure method of incorporating stained glass overlay windows into your home. Work is carried out by skilled and experienced stained glass artists and because the overlay is carried out on a single piece of glass, the process is stronger, more versatile and virtually limitless in design.

The techniques and materials used in the production of stained glass windows are constantly progressing and we can now offer hundreds of designs. That said, personalised designs are still the speciality of the Studio.The prices charged to create your own unique stained glass pattern are surprisingly affordable and reflect glass size and complexity of design.
