Company History

1974

Esk Glazing was founded in 1974 by Eric Irons in Montrose. When he first began the business, Eric was a sole glazier assisted by a workshop attendant and one member of the administrative staff. As word began to spread Eric had to employ additional tradesmen and office staff to keep up with the increasing demand.

Esk Glazing Limited soon became the trading name for the premium glazing company, dedicated to quality home improvements and design, servicing the North East Scotland.

Esk Glazing Limited has come a long way since then, and now proudly employ over 35 staff members. Wanting to instill a family orientated ethos and culture within the business, Eric’s son Craig started as an apprentice and is now the Managing Director working alongside his father.

2017

2017 saw Esk Glazing Limited creating Margaret House, an Arbroath based Head Office, allowing the Glazing and Pvcu divisions to amalgamate under one roof.

2023

Margaret House has undergone major alterations over the last few years to modernise the window and door showroom, introducing the Esk Interiors showroom and upgrading the Arbroath Trade Centre to provide a more welcoming environment and enhance the customer experience. Esk Glazing Limited has come a long way since its inception, but has retained its core values and is Celebrating 50 years in business in 2024.

Margaret House Esk Glazing Limited’s Head Office is situated on the Kirkton Industrial Estate, in Arbroath with a satellite office and showroom at Murray Street, Montrose.
